The new editor brings your whole video into one place: all scenes, text, images and audio sit on one timeline where you edit them directly. No more jumping between scenes and separate screens.
How the editor is laid out
The editor has three areas:
Toolbar on the left: Video, Text, Audio, Image, Element, Subtitle, Captions and Design. One click opens the matching panel next to it.
Preview in the middle: See your video and move or scale elements directly. With an element selected you also find Fit, Fill, Mirror and Crop below the preview.
Timeline at the bottom: All content sits stacked on tracks. Use the plus on the right to add new scenes.
Key actions on the timeline
Select: Click an element and its settings open on the left.
Trim: Drag the start or end of an element.
Split: Place the playhead where you want to cut and use Split item or Split scene in the bar above the timeline.
Duplicate, copy, delete: via the icons in the same bar.
Zoom: Use the slider on the right to zoom into the timeline for precise cuts.
Tips:
The undo arrow at the top left reverts any change; the redo arrow restores it.
Press the space bar to play or pause your video.
Where did things go? Old vs new
Add videos: in the Video tool. Upload, record with your camera (Capture) or record your screen (Record screen). Sources: Project, Library, Stock, Requests and Theme.
Music and voiceover: in the Audio tool, with the music library, your own recording and AI voiceovers (Generate).
Subtitles: in the Subtitle tool. See the article "Subtitles and captions in the new editor".
Social-style captions: in the separate Captions tool.
Volume, speed, noise reduction: Click the element on the timeline; the settings appear on the left (Volume, Playback rate, Remove background noise).
Design and theme: in the Design tool, with theme, background and your brand colors.
Export your video
Export sits at the top right. Your video renders and is then ready to share and download.
