cofenster gives you simple, powerful audio features: music from the licensed library, your own recordings, AI voiceovers and automatic noise reduction. Here's how to work with them in the new editor.
The Audio tool
Open the Audio tool on the left. You have three ways to add new sound:
Upload: upload your own audio files.
Record: record a voiceover directly in the browser.
Generate: create a natural-sounding AI voiceover from text, in many voices and languages.
Below that you find three sources: Project (audio in this project), Music (the cofenster music library with search) and Voiceovers.
Adding and trimming music
Open Audio and switch to the Music tab.
Search for a track and add it. It appears as its own track on the timeline and doesn't shift your scenes.
To trim: drag the start or end of the audio element. To move it: drag the element to where you want it.
Volume, fades and ducking
Click the audio or video element on the timeline. Its settings open on the left:
Volume: the element's volume in percent. Use it to lower the music selectively, for example.
Fade in and fade out: smooth fades in seconds, so the music starts gently and doesn't end abruptly.
As soon as music is in your project, audio ducking is active too: the music automatically gets quieter whenever someone speaks in the video, and louder again afterwards. That keeps voiceovers and dialogue clear.
Tip: If music and voice still compete, turn the music track down noticeably via its volume instead of making the voice louder.
Noise reduction
Select the video element with the audio track and switch on the Remove noise toggle on the left. It helps especially with outdoor recordings, at events, or when the speaker is far from the microphone. The setting applies per element, so you use it only where it's needed.
Creating an AI voiceover
Open Audio and click Generate.
Pick a voice at the top and listen to the preview.
Enter your text and click Create voiceover. It lands on the timeline as an audio element.
Need to change the text later? Generate the voiceover again with the adjusted script and replace the old element.
