Welcome to cofenster! These steps take you from first login to your first finished video, no video production experience needed.
1. Log in
You reach cofenster in the browser at app.cofenster.com, no installation required. Your credentials arrive via invitation email, or you sign in with your company account via single sign-on. Details are in the article "Accessing the web app and login details".
2. Get to know your Brand Template
Your Brand Template is already set up when you start: logo, colors, fonts, intro and outro. Every video you build is automatically on-brand. What the template covers and how to request changes is in "Brand Templates and Brand kit" and "Requesting changes to your Brand Template".
3. Invite your team
Bring in the colleagues who will create videos. Anyone who only contributes recordings doesn't need their own access. More in "Managing users: inviting, roles, seats and offboarding".
4. Start your first project
There are several ways in, depending on what you want to create:
A video from your team's recordings: Start a project with Ella. She plans the contributions and sends the recording requests. See "Ella at a glance".
Highlight clips from long footage: Upload a recording and let Milo cut the best moments. See "Milo at a glance".
A video from a text idea: Describe your video to Theo and he builds the first draft. See "Theo: videos from text".
Your own edit from scratch: Create an empty project and work directly in the editor. See "The new editor at a glance".
5. Collect recordings
Colleagues record their contributions directly in the browser, on laptop or smartphone, without an app and without an account. How that works is in "Contributing via browser: CoCapture" and "Requesting contributions and managing recordings".
6. Fine-tune in the editor
In the editor you cut scenes, add subtitles, music and text, and choose your brand design. The key articles: "Subtitles and captions in the new editor", "Audio and music" and "Cutting, trimming and splitting scenes".
7. Export and share
One click on Export and your video is ready: as a link, as a download or embedded in your intranet. See "Exporting your video: formats, length and limits" and "Sharing your video: link, sharing page and embedding".
