Working together as a team: sharing and editing projects

How team spaces work, how colleagues get access to projects and why some videos only show "Watch".

Videos are a team effort, not a solo effort. That's why you work in shared team spaces in cofenster, without emailing files around or comparing edit versions.

Team spaces and "My projects"

  • Team spaces: Every team has a shared space. All members see the projects in it and work on them together.

  • My projects: Projects here are visible only to you. Perfect for trying things out or first drafts.

Tip: Create projects that several people will work on directly in the right team space. Then nobody has to ask for access later.

How a colleague gets access

  1. Check which team space the project is in.

  2. If the person is a member of that team, they automatically see the project in the web app.

  3. If they're not a member yet, have them added to the team. If you have questions, message us via the Messenger.

If someone only needs to watch the finished video, they don't need project access: just share the video link. The article "Sharing your video: link, sharing page and embedding" shows you how.

Editing together, without chaos

All team members edit the same project, and changes are saved automatically. Agree briefly on who edits when, so you don't overwrite each other.

Why do I only see "Watch" on some videos?

The Watch button appears on videos that have already been exported. That's the finished version, not an editing mode. You still open and edit the project itself via the team space, as long as you're a member of the team.

Team folder suddenly not visible?

  • First check whether you're still a member of the team. Memberships can change during reorganizations.

  • Reload the page and sign out and back in once.

  • If the folder is still missing, message us via the Messenger. We'll look into it right away; nothing is lost.
