cofenster provides simple and powerful audio features to create and manage your projects, combined with music, noise removal, and other AI automations.
β
Editing Scene Audio
Each scene in your project has it's original audio and an additional audio layer. These combine with music tracks for the final effect.
Each scene has its own audio editor which allows you to edit the existing audio and add an overlay audio file in a few ways:
Upload a single audio file. (You can upload videos too β theyβll auto-convert to audio.)
Record voiceovers live, directly in the editor.
Create natural AI voiceovers (for Theo-enabled customers) from text, in many available voices and languages.
Add from a history of audio created and used in the project.
Both the original scene audio and audio overlays appear in the audio timeline, where you have your editing controls:
Trim and shift an overlay asset to cut out some sections and earlier or later on the scene timeline (does not apply to original audio)
Adjust volume for both overlays and original scene audio, individually.
Remove background noise from original scene audio (does not apply to overlays) for crisp, professional-quality audio, making it especially beneficial for recordings in outdoor settings, crowded events, or scenarios where the speaker might be at a distance from the mic.
Note: Each scene currently supports only one audio overlay at a time.
Generating AI Voiceovers
Each scene allows you to create natural sounding voiceover from text, using any of our licensed AI voices which each have unique styles and languages.
Creating a new AI voiceover is as easy as:
Select a voice from the dropdown, where you can search and filter for your needs, and listen to a preview of each voice.
Add your plan text as a script for the AI voice to read.
Click "Create voiceover" to generate a new audio file.
Editing an existing AI voiceover can be done by:
Select the AI voiceover audio file in the timeline
Click "Edit" and adjust the script or choose a different voice
Click "Create voiceover" which will create a new voiceover which moves the existing file into your "Audio history" (for easy re-use) and the new audio file is placed in the timeline.
Music and ducking
Under Music there is a variety of music titles available to give your videos atmosphere. You can select from our cofenster licensed list or add your own music to to your account to use in future projects.
Preview and "select" the checkmark in the circle to the right of the music title. Once you have selected a music title, you can adjust the volume.
Ducking
Once music is added to a video project, audio ducking is turned on. It ensures that the volume of your music selection is automatically reduced so that the recorded audio files can be better understood, for example, when someone is speaking in the video.
It automatically lowers background/music audio during voiceover or dialogue β and elevates it afterward.
