Before recording
Contribute videos, screen-recordings, or images and observe the progress update as you complete the list.
To upload or record, click on a scene card.
To record a video, the app will prompt you to orient your smartphone correctly to shoot in the correct format.
Then, a camera will open, allowing you to directly record your video.
Before starting, click the Tips icon above to read the video recording tips.
Click Switch Camera to switch between your front and rear cameras.
π‘ Please note that the camera cannot be changed during an ongoing video recording.
Film directly in the app
Click on the big red dot to start the exposure. A countdown counts down from 3, giving you enough time to get into position for the shot.
As soon as the recording starts, a timer is displayed below the small red circle.
Take your time before you start speaking and feel free to use pauses after your sentences. These pauses can then be cut out in post-production.
Click on the red square to end your recording.
Select recordings from your smartphone
Click Camera Roll to upload existing footage from your smartphone.
Select a video.
You now have the possibility to view your selection, to trim it in the upper bar, to cancel your selection with Cancel or to confirm your selection with Choose.
Upload selected video
In the Review section, you can now review your recording, record more videos or delete your selection.
Select a recording you want to upload and click Upload.
π‘ You can upload only one video per videocard.You will then be taken back to the video to-do list where you will have the option to add more recordings to the remaining videocards.
You can see the progress of the upload by this icon.
With a successful upload, your video is available to the web app user for further editing.
FAQs
I am prompted to rotate my smartphone, but it does not work. What should I do?
Check on your smartphone if the orientation lock is activated. This may be blocking filming in the correct format.
