You can cut and trim uploaded videos to fix mistakes during recording or long pauses. To do this, select the video scene you want to trim and go to the Cut option below the video preview in the editing area. The Cut and Trim view will now be displayed.

Using the zoom function, you can change the selected area within the video sequence to set the cut as accurately as possible. The maximum zoom allows you to make cuts down to a tenth of a second.

Tips:

  • You can undo your changes at any time using the undo arrow or repeat an action with the redo arrow.

  • The audio track marker shows where you can make cuts and which sequences can be removed from the video.

  • Press the spacebar to start/pause the video.

  • Use the arrow keys to navigate within the video.

Trim your video

Hold down the mouse button and drag the start and end points to the desired position to trim a video sequence. Your video will then be shortened to the specified length.

Cut out parts of the video

Move the audio marker to the desired position within the audio track and press the scissors to make the cut. This will split the existing sequence into two parts. Then adjust the end of the first part and the beginning of the second part using the trimmer to increase the distance between the two parts. The light area between the two sequences has been cut out of the video. To cut out several parts, just repeat these steps.

Delete sequences

Within your scene, it is possible to select individual video parts to delete. Select the sequence to be deleted and then click delete. You can also undo the deletion of a sequence.

Rejoin two sequences

Move the mouse pointer over the audio track in the gap between the two sequences until the join symbol appears. Click on the symbol and the sequences are rejoined.
