Record your screen directly in the web app

Create scene card: Screen recording

Click Add scene and select Screen recording to create a new scene card.

How to record your screen

  1. In the step Editing, your scene card Screen recording is selected and the preview window is displayed prompting you the button Record screen.

  2. When you first open the application, your browser will ask you if app.cofenster.com is allowed to use your camera. Click Allow to enable screen capture from your browser.

  3. You can now start your screen recording.

    • Once you press the - button, a pop-up menu of your browser will open and give you the option between recording your whole screen, a window or tab. Click Share to start the recording.

    • While recording, you can see in the preview window of the web app that the text is flashing indicating that the recording is in progress.

      • In the recording bar click on the icon to pause the recording.

      • You can resume the recording by clicking the icon.

      • A time display helps you to determine the length of the recording.

    • To stop the screen recording, press the red square. Hit Submit recording to uploaded the recording directly to the web app.

    • When you first open the interface, you will be asked if app.cofenster.com is allowed to use your microphone. Click Allow to use your microphone during screen recording.

      • In the recording bar, you can always use the icon to select your preferred microphone or not to use any microphone when recording.

    • Using the X icon on the upper right will close the recording window before recording and delete the recording during or after screen recording.

    • After the recording is processed, it will appear in the editing section and can be edited further.

FAQ

Why doesn't screen capture work for me?

Please make sure that app.cofenster.com has permission to access your camera.

You can change these settings in your browser under permissions. The same applies to the use of your microphone if you want to speak to your screen recording.
